Speech Fav Subject
I have always loved school and most of the subjects that i have been taught. Like everyone i have an absolute favorite. The subject and class that i always looked forward to attending was science. Rather it was chemistry, physics, biology, or just science in elementary school. It has always fascinated me. It teaches me how things are made, why they happen and it encourages me to investigate and look for explanations on my own with experiments and research, and finally come to a conclusive answer that was worth the work. Science has so many different branches. From studying the human body, all the way to blowing up stuff with the proper chemicals. You can not blow up bottles and stuff with history dates or all the figurative language facts from english class. Science has no boundaries. You can learn anything you need to know from the endless branches to choose from. It is also very easy. It also makes since unlike any math class ever taught. However, it is also very fun. Like i said earlier, you can blow stuff up, you get to dissect animals, and if you are lucky you could use science to go to the moon.
Another reason i love science is animals. I have such a loving passion for animals and the fact that science is a subject that you can easily learn what kingdom they come from and also how they work and live. If you ever meet me I am one of the most curious people you will ever meet. I always ask why and how. Science always answers those two questions for me. I believe the fundamentals to success are science. Without science or the answers that science provides us we would not be where we are today in society. I attended middle school at MCA and took Biology as an 8th grader. However my freshman year i went to Greenwood and they were taking Biology as freshmen. I was lucky enough that i got to take it again. Additionally they let me take the advanced class! Since those two Biology classes it has become my favorite branch. It is the study of life and living

In school, I have enjoyed learning sciences especially when the topics are related to human conditions. Ever since learning about general biology in my junior high school years ago, I have on my own taken additional anthropology, psychology, anatomy and chemistry classes from a local college for further enrichment and have grown very fond of learning the complexity in human machinery and interaction. Occasionally I do find learning these topics too weighty to continue. Whenever that happens now, I would always manage to pull through by remembering that particular good day where I acted as 'an orthopedic doctor'.…

It helps me understand the world around me, making it possible to find solutions to key problems. The fields of biochemistry, physics, computer science, and engineering interest me the most because they offer innovative ways to solve major problems. With biochemistry, I can diagnose, cure, and prevent diseases currently beyond our grasp. Physics allows me to discover entirely new sources of energy and solving many significant problems. Computer science and engineering allow me to analyze data and create devices that can assist people.…

I was introduced to the field I am interested in from my 9th grade biology class. Prior to the course, I had never taken biology or any science, for that matter, that had captured my attention such as this year-long experience. I was intrigued by the subject and fascinated with all the advances in society that have been made by scientists throughout the years. The possibility of being able to do this in the future kept me engaged and I further pursued this interest by currently taking AP Biology. In addition, I was inspired by the change that scientists can make through research and…

I have been interested in science and math since I was reading books with science experiments in second grade. Applying math and science skills to solve everyday problems has intrigued me from an early age. I am always curious about how things work. Since taking AP Physics this year, I have been able to appreciate how math and science work together. I have taken other rigorous courses, but often it felt like learning math was isolated from other coursework. Math challenges me to problem solve and think at a higher level. I also love science, but until I took AP Physics my science classes were too easy. The labs in freshmen and sophomore science were enjoyable, but I never got a sense of how they connected to other concepts in Biology and Chemistry.…

When asked in class every year which subject I admired the most, my answer was always “none”. Although the grades in my core curriculum classes were always excellent, I never found interest in the basic subjects. Math was a bunch of numbers with letters, science just reviewed our bodies and the how the world was believed to be through one scientist theories and history repeated itself, constantly. As a freshman, I contemplated tremendously over what major and career I would pursue for the rest of my life. I never knew there were more subjects than just science, English, math and history until the day my mother introduced me to unraveling my creativity in the summer.…

For as long as I can remember, I was interested in math and science. Math comes naturally to me—I enjoy the consistency that goes with it and completing each challenging problem. Similarly, I can never get enough of science, especially marine biology. Of all my subjects, science is the one I pursue most frequently outside of school; however, I always wanted something more. I was introduced to programming in my AP computer science class, and from the first day, I knew it was for me. Computer science is an excellent amalgamation of the math and science I love, embedded with the perfect amount of logic. I have enjoyed every second of my computer science class and, no matter what, hope to continue the field in the future.…

When I was nine years old, the horse that my sister was riding stepped in a gopher hole. As the news came back that he had broken his leg and had to be put down as a result of it, my sister was devastated. Right then, as I watched my sister get comforted by my parents, I knew that I wanted to try to help other people and their animals so they never had to feel the loss that my sister felt. That is when I knew I wanted to be a large animal veterinarian. I chose animal science as my major because it will provide me hands- on experience with animals that I could not get with other departments. It would allow me to have a solid animal background before veterinary school as well as get the prerequisites needed.…

School is one of the most important interest of mines. Because it’s a learning experience and doesn’t matter how old I am I can always continue my education, I also feel people are never to old to pick up a book an read or learn about new things. School inspired me in a major way growing up as a child. It inspired me because my mother always took my education serious. She would look me in my eyes “ whatever you do don’t give up and learn as much as you can”, she always stressed that to my two brothers and me, it really was hard on me because I was the youngest and whole family expected the out of me.…
