The precept focuses on what you have done and what you are most proud of about yourself. When you die you want people to remember you as a person that was friendly to everyone, even to the people that were mean. When those bullies grow up, they will regret being so mean to you and realize you were the better person for being nice. Let's show those bullies now, that it's better to be nice. We can do small things like smiling to someone because it may be the only smile they get that day. We will be remembered for being kind, but if you were mean to someone, you will be remembered as someone that was cruel. Over time, people are going to think they are worthless and it’s their fault you are being mean to them. What if you were the victim? Would you like to feel that way? kids that don’t come to school each day, are scared and feel worthless deserve better than mean and cruel behaviour.
