Spreading Religion

Countries such as Spain, Portugal, Britain or France explored for three main reasons. These reasons were god, glory, and gold. Spreading religion was an important part in colonizing countries because most imperialistic countries wanted to assimilate other countries. Returning home, the explorers would share their experiences and how they gained power, to become looked up to. This made them feel glorious. Resources were a huge motivation of exploring as well. Gold was a big part of this because it meant a lot of money.
