St. Jude's Children Research Hospital: Case Study
Approximately 8.2 million people die each year due cancer, and by 2030 the statistics are expected to change to 21.4 million cases and 13.2 million deaths. My aim is to raise awareness towards this epidemic, and have an impact in the growing statistic of cancer. In this case St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital are currently working on a solution to wipe out the future statistic that the world will be impacted by. A fundraiser held at William Penn High School planned by myself gives an opportunity for those who need cure to live a long life not affected by cancer. This fundraiser is targeted to anyone in New Castle County who have a concern with the subject of cancer. It would be easy to participate in the planned activities for the customer,
but the only problems I can see possible for the customer is the $2 entry fee. Some customers may not be physically fit enough to participate in our events, buy there is a solution. The customer would only need $2 dollars to participate in our events to show their support for the cause of St. Jude. Even so, there is a solution to this problem. In the matter of physical health or money there is a solution to both problems. If one were to have financial problems and wishes they could be a part of the fundraiser they could spectate events and stay at their leisure as long as they support our cause. Those dealing with physical health could still donate and the proceeds would still be in their name. If there would be any other problems brought up, it shall be dealt with accordingly. After the problems any customer have been dealt with everything else can go as planned. Plans for this fundraiser can make it stand out in comparison to other fund raisers. Other fundraisers are usually about selling a product and not bringing the community together. What I have planned is a fundraiser that not only raises the awareness for pediatric catastrophic diseases, but also brings the community together in a form of physical activities. There are plans made for those who wishes to participate in. Said plans are made to bring the community together. If anyone wishes to still support our cause they can socialize or spectate if they want. In order to participate in the sports all will have to pay a $2 dollar entry fee. In order to assist St. Jude and their cause, some money would be needed.
