Students may stress about the test simply because of how important it is, take the SAT for example, it determines whether or not you go to college, it can also cause health concerns for a student. “Test anxiety can cause a variety of negative behaviors such as crying or vomiting and emotions such as worry fear and stress.” (Fulton 5). It is said by many people that the symptoms previously listed are over exaggerated and unrealistic, but they are wrong. Even though these symptoms sound unrealistic, multiple surveys have shown that students can over stress because of standardized tests. It has been shown that testing can be a negative experience for bad test takers, even if they know the material. Stress is another factor that standardized testing can cause in students. And finally it has been shown that standardized testing does not take into account any external factors. Now that the negatives have been shown, there is only one thing to do, abolish standardized test.
