Recurring expenses include the utilities you have to pay every month, groceries that you have to get every time you run out of food, clothes, and lastly of course is the rent. Rent and utilities pretty much falls in the same sort of category. You absolutely have to have both of them to even be able to walk into the apartment. Rent will cost you a really high price of about $400 per month but you have to pay for it because you want to have somewhere to live. Utilities are what keeps your heat/air on, runs your water for you to be able to take a shower, and keeps you out of the dark. If you are paying for your rent you have to pay the utilities and these will cost you about $100 every month. Rent and utilities alone should make you want to stay at home for as long as you can. If you have enough money from all of the other expenses, you still have to pay for groceries every month. Paying $300 a month alone just for food is a very costly need.
