This paradigm has always been the beacon in my life. This inspired me to do my masters in International Master Programme in Informatik/Distributed Software Systems (Master) inYour esteemed Darmstadt University of Technology.

My interest in applied science dates back to my school days. During high school, I was fascinated with electronic gadgets. Soon thereafter, designing and building basic circuits started as a hobby. Along the way, however, I realized that the problem-solving aspect of making electronic gadgets was what I enjoyed the most. Engineering was a natural career choice after this.
Keeping this background in view my parents and my sister (Master in Physics) have gently guided me towards achieving my goal. I have my mother’s tenanacity and my father’s thirst for knowledge to make me achieve the goals which I have set for myself. I also gained myself in producing projects from school level.

Throughout High School and college I didn't know what career path that I wanted to take. As a college student, I just gained the opportunity to express myself, to spread my wings and to go after my dream only to realize that I didn’t know what it was that I wanted to pursue. The pressure and expectation from everybody did not help the cause either. So I decided that I am going to pursue engineering because it is a profession that I could finish and get a job after 4 years, plus I had friends I knew that were also doing engineering. I attended an engineering seminar along with my friends to attain a better understanding of the job and what it entails to achieve the goal. The classes I needed to take to be an engineer required a lot of math and physics, and once if I became and engineer I would need to apply those subjects in the job. I knew right then that engineering wasn't the right profession for me because I would…

I personally feel that there is substantial cachet to be gained by pursuing the field of Mechanical Engineering. The diversity present in this field has attracted me and it is consistent with my enthusiasm for Mathematics and Science. It has a lot of scope as well. I have gone through the entire gist of the course and the specific areas which interested me were Manufacturing Technology, Operations Research and Industrial Management. Were the other subjects which enabled me to blend the required action whenever a problem was posed to me. I have enjoyed myself learning about the theory behind engineering applications, and I have also enjoyed the experiences I have had with experimentation and research. There is something extremely satisfying about performing an experiment oneself, analyzing the data retrieved, and interpreting the results in a meaningful way. I have the zeal to develop self inspiration and the talent to work in a consistent manner. I believe that Science and Mathematics are cohesive. I remember at the time when I started to go to school, my father used to tell me how bad the conditions were when he was studying. How he studied sitting below street lamps when there was no electricity in the house, how he was forced to do a job leaving his graduation incomplete when they had not enough money even to buy books. Still he continued working hard and completed his graduation successfully. When I see myself having everything I need or even more than that, I don’t think I have a reason not to pursue my studies. Today I am proud to say that I am a mechanical engineer working in Reliance industries Ltd. My father is my inspiration and he is the reason behind who I amtoday. From my school time only I was not much interested in civics, economics, social sciences or subjects in which all you have to do is memorize things which usually don’t have any logical connection between them. But I was very much interested in math and science. Subjects, which have some logical connection behind everything and we don’t need to forcefully memorize much of the data. Fortunately I was good in math and science like it was in my blood. I have more inclination towards my left-brain. I am a type of person who is not so good in arts, singing or dancing but have good logical reasoning and intelligence. In 2004 I got admission in engineering college. It was a bit difficultt in the first year to acclimate to the environment. It was not as easy as I had imagined. It took many sleepless nights, many compromises and what not to complete my engineering. But it wasthe passion, which helped me to go through all this. It was difficult but I enjoyed it. I usedto wonder how by changing the gears of the bicycle the efforts required to drive reduces.
