Statement Of Purpose: A Career As A Nursery Assistant

I am writing to express my interest in the Nursery Assistant position at the Park Street Branch. The position requires excellent human relation skills and good organizational and communication skills, which are skills I am confident that I possess.

My relevant qualifications include my experience as a childcare provider and homework tutor. I have been a homework tutor for a public school, public library, and for a community center. I have tutored children that range from the grades kindergarten through eighth grade. As a childcare provider, I am responsible for the well-being of a five-year-old child and have to ensure he finishes his homework. I have also taken courses at Montclair State University related to working with children. For
one course, I spent 25 hours observing and helping a second-grade teacher, in I interacted with the students. In another course, I observed a childcare center. Over the years, I have garnered a substantial amount of experience with children.
