Statue Of Queen Boudica Analysis

Art can be expressed in so many ways photography, sculptures, animation, etc. The component I love about art is you never know the real meaning behind the piece. Sure history can tell the story but it will not tell why the artist created the artwork or where the inspiration came from. One piece of art that really inspires me is the Statue of Queen Boudica and her two daughters. It is the statue that stands outside the House of Parliament in London. I personally have never visited the statue but hope to one day. The piece inspires me because it shows a woman in power and fighting for what she wants. Queen Boudica was so powerful and victorious that they had to get special people to stop her and her army. I am a strong believer in woman are just as equal as men. An example would be woman in the military they want a certain job and cannot have it because they are not a man. To me a woman should not have to fight constantly for what she wants or be treated any different because she is a woman. If a woman can perform and hold her own she deserves to be equal to a man. Queen Boudica shows this is possible that you don’t have to hide in the shadows of a man. She was flogged and her daughters were raped but she did not let that change her until she got what she wanted which was to destroy the Romans for what they did. A woman like Queen Boudica is inspiring for how brave and determined she was.
This tapestry is a pretty extravagant piece of artwork. I admire the creator of the Bayeux Tapestry. I like fact that the tapestry is showing a story. The artwork is showing the conquest of England. It is showing every component of a battle that made a incredible impact on England. The tapestry shows anywhere from the conquest, the battle, and the fight for the throne. To me that is incredible they someone was able to capture and tell a story of history through
