In the same speech that Jobs told people to love what they do, he told them not to settle. “Don’t settle.” (Friedman). These are the words from jobs telling hundreds of students from Stanford to never settle unless it is what they love and have passion for. Some people thought Steve Jobs was crazy for what he wanted throughout his career in apple. A newspaper writer, Christina Paterson said, “He wanted the impossible, and was somehow able to convince everyone that the impossible was possible.” (Paterson). Steve Jobs wanted to change people’s minds in what they want to buy and he did that through his smart marketing strategies. This lesson teaches people not to settle, that they need to go out and give it all they got, it also allowed Apple users to get great products from Jobs when he was innovating because of his strive for greatness.
