Moving on, I think that it is great that we have Title IX. Title IX bans sex discrimination in any federally funded education program and it gives equal access to higher education. Sexual misconduct is taken more serious now and it helps victims of rape. This title also helps college boys understand that women have the same equal opportunity as they do. When students learn about the consequences they can face when they break rules the issue is taken serious by them and I think Title IX does a great job in communicating that message to college-aged audiences. Another possible way that the message can be communicated is colleges can have mandated education classes that students have to take during their first year of college to help better understand the issue and the consequences. The course should include teaching student’s morals of relationships, alcohol's effect on behavior, negative gender stereotypes to what constitutes sexual assault, and what consent is and what it’s not. Also in the course students should be taught the difference bystanders can make. Having a program like that can make drastic changes in my opinion and it should be taken into inconsideration since it seems to fit our time
