Story About Obadiah
Don’t you hate these cafeteria meetings? I asked Peter. “Yah man, I know what you mean”. “I’m confused at the idea of gathering a bunch of classrooms filled with 8th grade students in a cafeteria, and making them listen to Principal Barton talking about how the school is making budget cuts and switching to the cheap stuff”, said Peter. But soon enough the Principal Barton's announcements were interrupted with a huge and echoing SMACK!!! I looked around, everyone was in awe as the pizza that was splattered on the principal’s face drooped down to the principal’s cheek and the gooey cheese rolled down his gray suit. Then suddenly it was like everyone was some kind of psychic as every single student in the room and even me, turned to Billy Richman, …show more content…
If what my ears heard was correct, then I would say that sound came from a human head. I looked around and what I found explained everything, yet still made no sense. It was Obadiah Bridges sprawled on the floor with a huge bruise on his head, and a can of peaches next to him. I don’t think I have to explain anything for you to know what had just happened here. Everybody gathered around Obadiah, but Principal Barton was in the back of the crowd freaking out about if Obadiah’s parents will press charges. This school is already deep enough in money problems, so I guess I’d be freaking out too if I had to run this place. Almost every student was looking around in the crowd to try to at least make assumptions or suspicions on who threw the can of peaches. All the teachers rounded us up, walked us to the office in a single file line. On the way there Principal Barton never looked angrier. For a second I thought he was going to put handcuffs on everybody, make us wear orange jump suits, and even give everyone buzz cuts. When the line got to the office the teachers did a head count just to make sure nobody ditched school under all that chaos. They had to call 911 so they could take care of

Once they got to the office the secretary hissed “In this school, I have heard of kids bullying kids, adults bullying adults, even parents and other adults, including teachers on drugs, bullying kids, but I have never had a teacher bully a kid like you were!” she was yelling by then, “You should be ashamed! I am amazed that Carrie isn’t crying in a corner right now for goodness sakes!”…

32 “Well its actually happening ma’, I’m goin’ back to school.”Rufus said. “I want you to know, I truly am proud of you Rufus.” His mother replied. Curtis and Janet went to a different school then Rufus but he still walked them to school then walked himself to school. On his way to school a car followed him very slowly but Rufus kept walking. When he got to school it looked the same on the outside that it always had. Rufus pushed open the doors at Searingtown School and yelled “I’m back!” All of his friends ran over to hug him. He went down to the office to get a tour he thought he didn’t need because he remembered every single solitary thing about this place. While the tour was going on everything going on was a blur. He looked left, right and left again, admiring the changes the school had made. “Wow” he sighed. “Is there a problem Rufus?” the tour guide asked. Rufus answered, “When I was here the wall paint was all chipped, there were broken windows and holes in the walls.” “Oh ok, well that concludes our tour and this door on your right is your first period class.” The tour guide replied. Rufus walked in and sat at an available seat at the back of the class room. He opened his notebook and took notes even though he didn’t understand anything that was going on. By the time 5th period came around it was time for lunch he was starving. All of his friends called him over and asked him to sit with him. Momma didn’t make him a big lunch because they didn’t have that much food in the house and then needed to split it 3 different ways. Allison who used to have a big crush on Rufus sat right next to him. Mitchell and Charlie sat across from him and Christina, Alisha and Sammy sat around them. When the bell rang he went to his locker and when he got to class he looked out the window and saw the same car that followed him to school. The only person he thought of was Simon. But he didn’t have a car? Rufus ran to the office to explain the…

The Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano is a very descriptive narrative about Olaudah Equiano’s experiences of being of a slave. The narrative is very touching and heartfelt. I admire Olaudah Equiano for his strength, courage, and for being oppressed to so much pain. The kidnapping of Equiano and his sister, Equiano’s attempt to escape to freedom and the scene on the slave ship were the scenes that I found to be the most compelling.…

The theater was quite filled, and some schools “competed” with chants. Once we all settled down, the Opening Session began and we listened to the different speeches of some FBLA members. After every speech, the FBLA members decided to create a clapping system of clapping three times in rhythm instead of clapping randomly. We truly are business leaders on a mission trying to lead people and develop a clapping system. After the opening session, all of the FBLA members exited and began to line up for the In-N-Out food trucks, despite the fact that there were about 15 minutes before the burgers were given out. Once we ate lunch, I went to back studying for…

Stuart looked at his feet writing his obituary in his head. Thwack. A spitball landed at principal Mitchum's high heels. Stewey cautiously looked around the room not wanting to draw attention to the attacker. Thwack. Now her left foot was being attacked. The principal looked down at her feet. Mr. Hudgins, our perfectionist music teacher, was so annoyed by the smell from the ammonia cleaner that he pushed our school janitor into our 5-foot tall centennial cake shaped like sleigh. Our poor janitor was stuck in the cake and had to eat his way out. Unfortunately he ate so much cake that his egg allergy acted up and caused him to fart explosively. The janitor’s giant fart blew up the cake, and pieces of it flew all over the entire student body, destroying their decorations and blowing out all the gym windows. I recall many things from my school years, but many point out. “Settle down, settle down kids” says the teacher after a potluck and a whole lot of sweets. The candy was getting to the kids. “Sit down on the carpet, criss cross applesauce” I sat down on the colorful a, b, c carpet, while all the students continued to run in their costumes, me in my princess bell dress, because I loved bell. I turn to see jimmy lay right by me, maybe due to the fact that he had a small five year old crush on me. Jimmy was a shy little boy with glasses, so him coming up to me to say “Hi,” was surprising “hi” i reply. The students are finally silent on the carpet; “okay class I am going to play “The Nightmare Before Christmas” so please, no…

The typical high school…
