Thailand operates a constitutional monarchy system of government with a multiparty system. In this system, the head of Thai government is the prime minister while the head is served by a hereditary monarch. The current head of state is Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulvadej( Rama IX) while the prime minister is Yingluck Shinawatra.(thai congenvacouver 2013)
The country has had a long history of political instability, especially between 1997 and 1998 as a result of the economic downturn that ravaged the South East Asian region and was believed to have originated from Thailand .(data monitor 2010). This period saw a period of political instability in Thailand, from military coup to the collapse of civilian government. Thailand has become synonymous with colour coded political protest, most recent one being the 2010 red shirt protest that grounded Bangkok international airport affecting thousands of international flight. (Catharin Dalpino 2011 & Naruemon T, Mccargo,D, 2011 ).
However, with the election of current Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra in 2011, the political atmosphere in Thailand has become relatively calm. (Data monitor 2010).Despite the fact that Thai political history and environment is characterized with instability and occasional political protest, the good news for Rebello is that there is comparative policy stability with relation to investment across governments. (Business Environment 2005).

(Mutebi, AM, 2008). For instance some government agency staffs restrict some kind of business to their colonies, thus leading oligopolies in the Thai system. (Mutebi, AM, 2008).
However, as An Australian Company, Rebello must abide by Australian anti-corruption laws that prohibit Australian
