Strategic Position At Comptech
Harrison-Walker describes strategic positioning as an important activity to create a positive image and promote the company’s products and/or services in order to reach a larger target audience (Harrison- Walker, 2009, p. 104). A strategic position allows the company to predict and plan for the future in order to gain a competitive advantage over its competition. This process is very important in establishing the vision and mission statement of the company while still keeping the customers best interest the number one priority. CompTech does have a strong strategic position because it is the largest retailer of computer products and is looking to add many stores over the next two years. The company obviously has great momentum at this current time and the company should utilize that stride to become the best computer retailer possible. Even though CompTech …show more content…
First, the company has a great reputation that implies that it has a good concept of adapting to new sales strategies and product development. In order for a company to expand its business, the company must understand how to communicate effectively to the target audience in an effort to increase sales and the company must also understand what the needs of the target audience are. Customer satisfaction within retail stores is directly correlated to the attitude and sales manner of the salesmen within the company (Grewal and Sharma, 1991, p. 16). Therefore, one attribute to CompTech’s growth is by ensuring customer satisfaction with a quality sales team. Also, CompTech has a strong upper management team that can plan for the future and enhance the growth of the company. The upper management must be very efficient in order to run 442 stores around the U.S and promoting the idea of expansion. The management team must also be very organized and communicate well in order for CompTech to be such a larger
