What is sugar? Something very tasty? Something that makes you delighted? That is true, but more importantly sugar is very addictive, awful for your teeth, and your whole body over all.
Sugar is a very dangerous object; it can cause tooth loss, liver damage, heart attacks, diabetes, weight gain, and other problems with the body. The whole population on earth should start limiting the amount of sugar it consumes.
II. Sugar is important for the human body and the brain. Sugar from a few fruits and vegetables, plus some milk is an excellent source of energy for the human body. Sugar does help your body function normally. Without sugar humankind will have a numerous amount of problems with health. It is certainly important to keep …show more content…
a balanced amount of sugar in a person’s body, keeping enough sugar in the body to function, while also not overeating it.
It is important to think. Everywhere, all the time, and every person must think. When it comes to sugar, thinking is particularly important. People need to reason whether they already had enough sugar for the day. Moreover, when people buy soda, cereal, and candy; they need to look at the ingredients of the product. Ordinarily people don’t do that, because that product is tasty, so consequently that is everything they care about. If people stopped and looked at the ingredients and the nutrition table, Quite a few people would have had better health.

There are different types of sugar.
Sugar from fruits and vegetables is healthy because it comes with natural fibers and other vitamins. Sugar in sodas and cereals is usually all by itself, so it takes longer to digest. Eating some sweet fruits and vegetables won’t make someone gain weight or have problems with health. Conversely, when people drink soda it comes with many other chemicals that are hazardous.
Sugars come in different forms. Simple sugars, like white sugar, or the kind found in candy, cookies and ice cream, are the worst for you. They enter the bloodstream quickly, and can trigger an enzyme that helps store fat. Complex sugars are found in fruit and grains, among other things. These get broken down much more slowly and are released more steadily. Since they don't cause such a rapid rush of sugar, insulin levels can remain steadier, as well. This also means that you don't get hungry as quickly.(Lattin 8) Sugar is everywhere! If someone looks at the nutrition facts of some food or a drink, very often they will notice that some sugar added. Even if sugar is not mentioned in the nutrition facts, one can look at the ingredients, and there he or she will probably find “high fructose corn syrup, a cheap sugar substitute” (Mudge 11). Nowadays People are surrounded by
sugar. The Amount of sugar people eat is enormous.
The World Health Organization suggests no more than about 8 teaspoons a day for guys and just 6 teaspoons for girls (slightly more if you're really active). But most teens blow right past those digits by 8 a.m. with a big bowl of sweetened cereal. By day's end, many of you have gobbled down more than 28 teaspoons of sugar. That's like eating 19 five-pound bags of sugar in a year! (Kuzemchak 12)

If humans wouldn’t have eaten as much sugar, then we wouldn’t have had most of the problems we have now with health. But humans DO eat an enormous amount of sugar, accordingly the human race has many problems with health they could have avoided. Sugar can result in diseases such as heart attack, liver damage, type 2 diabetes, tooth loss, and weight gain. Type 2 diabetes can result in amputation of limbs. All of these are very serious health problems. Who would want an amputated limb? In the movie “Sugar” (2014) the main character had 40 teaspoons of sugar a day (an enormous amount!) for 60 days. He damaged his liver and gained about 8 kilograms of weight. Sugar is addictive! As certain experiments proved, sugar triggers the same parts in the brain as drugs.”So is it really possible to get hooked on the sweet stuff? Health experts warn that sugar addiction is not only a real problem--it's also a scary health crisis. It can permanently damage your body. "When you consume sugar in high doses, it acts as a toxin in your liver."” (Priesnitz 20) It is very easy to notice how addictive sugar is, the more an individual eats it the more he wants it. Why do people like sugar so much? Sugar is one of the very important fuels that powers the brain, consequently the brain sends the body signals that make us want more sugar (for the brain). This is why sugar is so addictive! Now there’s a question:
Is sugar a food or a drug? Taubes reports on some astonishing scientific studies of newborns' first responses to sugar that strongly suggest sugar has addictive properties that are quite different from other carbohydrates. Taubes himself seems to regard his own sweet tooth as an addictive response to sugar (as well as to high fructose corn syrup, a cheap sugar substitute). "I realized that in thinking about the history of sugar, I had to keep in mind that you might be

People should limit the amount of sugar they eat. That is very hard to implement because multitude of people savor it so much in numerous various forms such as drinks, candy, cereal, and candy. Start off by eating more fruits and vegetables that are pretty sweet, and eat the instead of candy, and other sweet snacks. Drink water or milk instead of soda, sweet tea, or very sweet juices. It will take a while to stop eating sugary items, but when you do stop eating them, it will all be worth it.
DUMP LIQUID SWEETS--OR SCALE BACK. If you drink a soda every day, switch to every other day. Still need something sweet to sip? Dilute a quarter-cup of juice with sparkling water and ice. GO NATURAL. When in doubt, reach for an apple or orange. A whole piece of fruit not only has intense natural sweetness to nix your cravings, but it also has fiber, which will keep you full and satisfied. SPLIT THE DIFFERENCE. Mix half your sugary morning cereal with half unsweetened o's. Ditto for flavored yogurt with plain. It will still taste sweet, but you'll get 50 percent less sugar.
(Kuzemchak 12)
IV. Sugar is important to your body, but in the right doses and in the right form, however, people consume dangerously high amounts of sugar. It is very hard not to eat plenty of sugar, nowadays sugar is almost in every food or drink people consume.
