Why Shouldn't Tommy and Jim Have Sex? A Defense of Homsexuality

1. Homosexual sex is unnatural. I don't recall anywhere in the Bible where God said it was okay for two males to conjoin in marriage or any other "activities." In fact in the book of Genesis, God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah by brimstone and fire for such homosexuality. I do not believe unnatural means that something is disgusting; something can be unnatural and disgusting, which homosexuality is. God did not form two Adam's; he formed an Adam and an Eve. I believe people do choose to be homosexual. If anybody is familiar with the Bible, then they would know homosexuality is immoral. I do believe that homosexuals would not be accepted into Heaven, considering God's act on Sodom and Gomorrah. I believe God thinks it's immoral, which in my opinion should give everybody the same opinion. Human beings are not created by homosexuals. This is the part why Adam and Eve were created. Girls should like boys and boys should like girls, end of story.

It is not possible to provide a workable definition of "degrading pornography" because it is demeaning to our whole society. With such sexual explicit content that's out there, it sends the message out to young children and adults that it is okay to encounter sexual intercourse in a way that isn't appreciative. Sexual intercourse should be treated as a gift for people who love each other. Do the characters on the degrading pornography have a relationship or just relations? In fact, in my opinion I think any pornography is immoral. Men or women shouldn't watch or look at pornography as a hobby or at all. I know that the characters of pornography agree to what they do in the pornography, which they degrade themselves. But if our society weren't so apt to have pornography around and use it, then there wouldn't be a reason for anyone to degrade themselves. So in my opinion, pornography, degrading or not, should

Should Christians Accept Homosexuality? “ In Romans 1:26-27, God is seen to have given men and women “up” to disgraceful passions. This act was in reprisal for idolatry and failure to recognize God as who He is. So we have god as the causal connection to acts, which they condemn! This does not make sense. Why would god cause men and women to engage in acts that were not of their nature as a punishment for ignoring his goodness?” (Simpson, Bruce J.)…

The way we view homosexuality has very much to do with how we were raised and taught depending on where we are from, our parents beliefs and what others around us tell us. Because of this we believe what we believe and will stand by them unless we ourselves come to a different conclusion as we grow older. I was raised a Catholic and was taught by the Bible teachings that homosexuality was wrong and will go to hell if that is what you practiced. In this paper we will look a little at the historical and scientific perspectives of homosexuality.…

On the other hand, it is also a homosexuals human and moral rights. Every homosexual has the right to be jubilant in the same way that heterosexuals are. Each individual has their own morals, although some may not agree. A USC Aiken senior, Micah Hurtt, says, "Some people cannot separate the religious aspect. It is not a matter of religious right or wrong morals; it is inequality." Even though heterosexuals have different morals, homosexuals still have the right to be…

Richard Harland’s World Shaker, describes some of the activities that take place on board the decks of the juggernaut, an oversized mechanical object that moves around the world over land and sea in competition for business and control. At this point in the story Colbert Porpentine the main character of this steam punk novel is with his Grandfather Sir Mormus Porpentine, touring the bottom decks of the juggernaut for the first time. Earlier in the novel when Riff, a fourteen year old Filthy girl on the run appears in Col’s room, he comes to realise that he has a no knowledge of his surroundings and of the other residents who live Below. Col becomes curious as to who they are and what they do. The next morning after Riff arrived uninvited, Col’s sister “Gillabeth, marched in” (p.10) to his room, gave a few orders and then Col began questioning her knowledge about the Filthies, but she didn’t know much either or wouldn’t give out any details. They both then attended the family breakfast. After Sir Mormus announced in front of the family that Col would become the next “Supreme Commander” (p.16), Col requested that he be shown the entire juggernaut, so that he could understand the complete workings of the vessel. The reason for Col’s request was not only to benefit his knowledge but also so that he could determine a safe way for Riff to return to Below, where she belonged. Sir Mormus agrees to take Col himself. After arrangements had been made and Col prepared himself, Sir Mormus guides Col down to the lower decks of the craft. Once on the lower decks Col observes from “viewing bay 17” (p.45) where he watches the Filthies working on the lower decks and Below.…

However, for believing in the facts “homosexual are a sin” it’s against human rights, because people have the right to be who they are and what are we to judge them that it are is a sin to God. In Chapter 8 entitled “Does the Bible Condemn Loving, Committed Homosexual Relationships?” Copan dissects the issue of homosexuality in a delicate fashion. As Christians, it is very easy to place the “gay lifestyle” on the hot seat and think of it as one of the worst sins one can possibly commit. Not diminishing the sinfulness of homosexuality, Copan explains that “Scripture doesn’t highlight homosexual acts as the greatest wrongs but includes them in lists of other sinful practices.” (92) (Such as fornication, idolaters, and adulterers (1Cor. 6:9-10)) “All too often self-proclaimed “Bible-believing Christians” can act with a smug moral superiority toward homosexuals…” (78) Heterosexual people act this way because they cannot understand how something so unnatural can even be a coherent thought for a person. Copan states that as Christians we should be welcoming to everyone from every background and lifestyle. Another point that is made is that Scripture doesn’t speak against homosexual inclinations, only homosexual actions. Everyone lusts. Whether it is heterosexual or homosexual, lust is a sin; the decision to act on that lust is a different story. It is just as bad for a man to lust after a man, as it is for a man to lust after a woman (lust is lust). God says that we have already committed adultery in our minds just by lusting. Although the cause of homosexuality is unknown, people can have homosexual feelings AND still be a Christian as longs they do not act upon their desires. Many homosexuals use the excuse of “That’s the way I was born” in…

According to Jonathan Rauch, the main purpose of marriage all comes down to safety. While justifying this, he wonders how straights view marriage and for the same reasons that straights get into marriage, it is the same way and same reasons that gays get into marriage. Living life without getting into marriage becomes so lonely and it make life more vulnerable. In his defense for gay marriage, gays need some kind of care just like everyone else. According to him, there are few marriages and gay marriages should be accepted so that the statistics of marriages can increase.…

From as long as one can date back, there has always been a history discrimination towards others among the general populace. First and foremost, there have been numerous accounts of judgement upon homosexuality making claims stating that it is an immoral choice, a mental disorder, or religiously unjust to be homosexual. These accusations stem as the cause of why members of the LBGT organization are shunned to society and constantly victimized, simply based off of the lack of knowledge towards the true origins of homosexuality. For example, in previous years, homosexuality was documented in the American Psychiatric Association’s, the APA’s, official list of mental disorders. The idea of homosexuality having to do with mental stability is supported…

Everybody has their own beliefs on homosexuality. Some believe it is a sin, and some believe love is love; whether that is with the opposite or same sex. Homosexuality is something that in this point is time is accepted way more than it was a couple years back. Of course we still have some people who discriminate homosexuals in many ways. Some are against it due to religion, or the way they were brought up, I feel everyone is entitled to their opinion but they should keep an open mind. Like I said, the world is changing and you don’t have to accept it but you should learn to live with it without discriminating or putting them down.…
