Heart of Darkness

Today I want would like to to present you a special book: heart of Darkness.
It was written by Joseph Conrad in 1902.
The story centres on Charles Marlow, who narates most of the book. He is an Englishman who takes a foreign assignment from a Belgian trading company as a ferry-boat captain in Africa
The narrator was Joseph Conrad, to whom I want to say something:
But first, I would like to say a few Words about the Author.

Biography

Joseph Conrad, actually Jòzef Teodor Konrad Korzeniowski, was born at the 3rd of December 1857, in the Russian dominated Ukraine.
His parents, both polish patriots, were opportunists of the Russians, so they were exiled to the far-northern province of Vologda , taking the fourth-years old son Jòszef with them.
When Joseph was eleven, his parents died, maybe as a result of hardship.
The uncle, Thaddeus Bobrowski, became his guardian and mentor.
With sixteen he left Poland and went to France, so he could realize his dream of going to sea. the next four years he spent his time with sailing to and from West-Indies.
Allegedly he was involved in gunrunning and in gamble. he escaped death very court, when he attempted suicide by shooting himself in the chest.
In 1878, with 21, he entered the British Merchant Navy.
So he rested his next sixteen years rising to the position of Master Mariner.
He travelled to Singapore, Australia, the Belgian Congo, which formed the stuff for "Heart of Darkness", to Bombay and the East Indies.
In the year 1886 he became naturalized and 1894 he settled to England to devote himself to his writing.
His first book was published in 1895, known as "Almayer's Folly".
At the same year he married Jessie George.
In his special life he wrote nineteen novels, lots of short stories and some memoirs, from 1895 to 1924.
Heart of Darkness was written at 1899.
Joseph Conrad died at the third of August 1924.
