Summary and Personal Opinion on the Movie "Slumdog Millionaire" Very Short
Slumdog Millionaire –

The Movie is about Jamal Malik, an orphan from the slums of Bombay, or now called Mumbai. He is participating on the show “Who wants to be a millionaire” and with every question he answers we get a retrospective view of his life when he explains how he knew the answers of the questions to a police investigator. Through these retrospective views we learn about his long lost love, Latika. When Jamal returns to the show after being freed from custody he calls his brother to find out the last answer to win the 20 million rupees. Jamal doesn’t know until Latika answers the phone, but his brother freed Latika from the Mafia he worked for and gave her his phone. Latika doesn’t know the answer, and eventually Jamal guesses right (on the first try) and wins the jackpot. After the show is over they meet at the train station as planned. They kiss, and the movie ends.

I think the movie was both very dramatic and romantic. It had a good storyline, if it hadn’t been for that I’ve seen it many a time before, I might have enjoyed watching it. It is by no means a bad movie, and to be fair, I’d rather watch this movie again than most other movies I’ve seen. If I were to give it a roll of the dice, I would give it a 5 or 6.

OR:

Jamal Malik, an orphan from the slums of Mumbai participated on the show “Who wants to be a millionaire”. With every question we get to see the story of his life and how he ended up on the show as the police interrogates tortures and digs to find the truth about him. How does he find the correct answer every time? Eventually he is freed and returns to the show. He doesn’t know the answer for the last question so he calls his brother. Instead of his brother, his long lost love Latika answers the phone. She doesn’t know the answer, so Jamal instead guesses right and wins 20 million rupees. After the show, Jamal and Latika meet at the train station, both safe and sound, they kiss each other and the movie ends.

The producers couldn’t have hired better actors for the roles of Thomas and Victor and the script was as if it wasn’t even a script. It seemed like it just came so naturally to the characters. If someone came to me asking for examples of a movie with really good acting, I would probably recommend this movie, but otherwise. I would say not to waste your time and watch something more enjoyable, like the romantic comedy “The Wedding…

All in all, I have no criticism for the film. In fact, I believe this film is such that it could be expanded upon to create a full-length feature or at least a more substantial film. But of coure, that requires time and resources that the filmmakers may not have at their disposal. Both the joy and agony of indie films. Phenomenal stories without the restrictions of the studios but also without the funding of the studios.…

This is a good family movie that can show the viewer’s how some people prey on one another. This movie reminded me of the times my brother and I didn’t get along. It shows how different families are and how they treat one another. Sadly this movie also shows how family members can be so cold blooded. This movie duplicates real life situations where innocent People get hurt, family loyalty gets divided and couples end up in divorce.…

Throughout the movie there were some negative things that were present within it. Some of these were how the songs would just randomly begin and could make a certain scene loose its significance and meaning, the plot itself seemed to be a bit predictable and disappointing until a plot-twist occurred. The ending of the movie I found confusing and a cliché. Although there were a few negative aspects present in the movie I still believe it was a successful movie and quite enjoyable.…
