Summary Of Chapter 4: Queen Sorcha
Chapter Four: Queen Sorcha
Fionn stepped inside, not knowing what to expect. The Royal House was just a long hall with a red carpet spread across the floor of the room and at the end of the hall sat the Squirrel Queen on her throne with two other squirrel guards at her side. Fionn walked behind Aidan and when Fionn saw the Squirrel Queen up close. She was rather fair and she was wearing a leaf tiara and white robe with blue designs on it.
“So this is Fionn, son of Ferdinand,” the Queen said in a soothing and gentle voice. “My gracious, you’re the spitting image of him!”
Fionn became bewildered. “Wait, how do you know my father’s name?”
Aidan struck Fionn on the head. “You insulant mouse!” he shouted. “Address her as “your majesty” or “your

When the Emperor and his wife heard this news, they tried to protect their son from Malus and his falcons (who chose to be his followers) but it was too late because Malus was one step ahead of them and they were murdered. But the Emperor’s brother, a very skilled warrior, fought off Malus and managed to escape with the Emperor’s Son. The Emperor’s brother took the son and traveled very far away from Tara to hide away from Malus.
“Ever since then, Malus has been gathering an army of not only falcons but also rat bandits and weasel pirates from all across the seas and been slowly conquering Tara. But not only that, he’s become obsessed with trying to find the Emperor’s Heir and killing him.”
Everyone was silent for a few moments after Sorcha finished the story. But Fionn finally spoke. “That’s quite a story, your majesty but what happened to the Emperor’s brother and the Emperor’s

How was he going to fight or let alone win against Captain Aidan? But Sorcha put her paws on Fionn’s shoulders to reassure him there was hope for him. “You can do this. I know you can, Fionn.”
“How can you possibly say that Sorcha?” asked Fionn like she just said something foolish. “I have no chance to defeat a warrior as great as your brother!”
Sorcha could see how doubtful and pessimistic the young mouse was but she continued to encourage him to have hope. “You will beat him because you have been trained by the best. You were trained by Cael the Sword Master. Did I forget to mention that your Uncle Cael is the greatest sword fighter and sword maker in Tara? And he even made the Blade of Tara for his brother, Ferdinand as a symbol of his courage and authority.”
Fionn felt somewhat better now that Sorcha told him that he was trained by a great teacher as Cael but he was still very doubtful. Also for some reason Fionn felt a connection to Queen Sorcha because even though he had just met her, he felt like they were sort of connected to each other since she obviously knew a lot about his father, uncle and his family and she was very close to them and she seemed to care a lot about Fionn. In fact, Sorcha felt like kind of a mother figure to

Upon Fionine’s arrival the feelings were one of excitement and uncertainty. We (the Crumpton family) had never had a Fionine or anything like her (except for the rabbits, but those stayed outside all the time so they do not really count). For the first few weeks of Fionine’s precious life were spent sleeping and being passed from person to person. Fionine soon expressed her love of attention by always wanting to be in the center of everyone. Fionine absolutely loves people and does not know any strangers. Fionine does not make a very good watchdog because of her love for people. Fionine also loves to be flipped on her back and her belly to be rubbed just like a baby. Fionine also enjoys to chase tennis balls around the back yard and to swim in the pool. Fionine spends most of her time on her “perch” (the back of the couch) and supervises the day-to-day activities that surround her. Fionine’s goal in life is to finally catch one of the many squirrels that occupy my backyard. She has yet to achieve this highly prestigious goal, but this is not to say that one day even Fionine’s dream can come true.…

Imagine being able to observe the motion of a red blood cell as it moves through your vein, or being able to watch as a type of white blood cell (called a "T-cell") destroys an invading microbe by engulfing it. What would it be like to observe the vibration of molecules as the temperature rises in a pan of water? To observe sodium and chlorine atoms as they get close enough to actually transfer electrons and form a salt crystal? New scientific tools, developed and improved over the last few decades, make such observations increasingly feasible. These are examples of the effort to view, measure and even manipulate materials at the molecular or atomic scale - the major focus of nanotechnology.…
