Summary Of Community College Compensation
In an effort to better understand the community college presidency; the AACC (American Association of Community Colleges) asked 370 current CEO’s (72% men, 28% women; median age: 60) about their leadership compensation and benefits. This compensation survey focuses on community college president compensation and benefits. Highlights of the compensation survey showed that overall median salary was $167K while base salary was $173K. Women’s base salaries surpassed men slightly; however, men received more total cash compensation. Total cash compensation has improved slightly for women; up 97% from 2006 to 2012. Blacks and Hispanics who worked at urban, larger educational institutions earned more than White males; median total cash compensation
