Introduction James Jim Burns, a lung cancer survivor, was born on March 21, 1951 in a small town called Vinita, Oklahoma. After serving 10 years in the United States Air Force as an E-6 fuel specialist, he met the love of his life when stationed in the Philippines to my aunt named, “Thai”. They’ve been married for 42 years and have a son and a grandson who is now residing in Seattle, Washington. For the interview, we discussed the benefits of healthcare, thoughts on being older, family, society and his current stance in his retirement.
