This began with a Mountie named William he had been riding in the woods on a missing person report. The person he was looking for had been a 24-year-old man named Joshua and he had been well-known in their community of Searchmont, Canada for some minor crimes. But everyone in the town still knew his name. So when William had been sent out to look for him he was surprised because he never had thought anyone would hurt him. But then he had found him in the woods 30 miles away at Hiawatha Ski Resort. But when William had found him he was shocked at the state of him. He was covered in mud, blood, and gashes so William had decided to approach Joshua but Joshua screamed “Do not come near me, stay away!” William asked “Why?” and Joshua responded with
This led to Joshua trying to running away but William caught up to him. Then Joshua realized who it was and burst into tears. So William and Joshua drove back to the Searchmont police station to discuss what happened
The next morning William went right to questioning Joshua about what happened to him the night before. The first question William asked him was “Who took you?” and Joshua simply replied “You mean what took me?” William had a fearful face. Joshua had said that he had found a book called “The Aeon Effect.” William asked what a book had to do with it. Joshua said to William that “ This book gives its possessor three wishes but these wishes are not to be trusted.” William asked “why?” and Joshua replied that it creates spirits called Wendigos and he proceeds to tell his story to how he got to where he was. He had wished to have all his criminal records wiped but and he had felt a dark presence nearby after making his wish. He had turned on the T.V. and the news had come on and he saw that they were reporting an odd event. But this even was that the prime minister had decided to remove one person's criminal record if the crimes were minor. So he then went on about his day and through the whole day he felt that same dark
