We are trained to limit ourselves to different situations and the amount we can handle. When we limit ourselves, we can then apply that to everyday life so that we do not overdue something. This can help use especially with social media. If we limit the amount of time we use social media, it decreases the likelihood we are to become addicted and we will not be on our phones 24/7. My definition of adulthood is reaching a level of maturity, gaining independence/independent of living with parents, and making good decisions. Social media can be good in the fact that you can keep in contact with friends and family living out of state. Social development can be good too in the way that it helps us function in society.
