1. What is the significance of the title of this book?

The title of this book is Control and really helps summarize Scott Tyler’s goal in one word. Scott Tyler is a Shifter, someone who can change reality with just a single thought. However, unlike other Shifters, Scott still remembers his past realities. Throughout this book, Scott improves his skills and techniques of shifting and also learns how to control his choices and realities.

2. From what point of view is the story told? How does this impact the characterization?

This book is told in first person point of view by Scott Tyler. This impacts the characterization because we only see things how Scott sees them. This allows for biased opinions of certain characters within the book,

Benjo Greene is an antagonist that enjoys torturing and eating humans. He causes a lot of trouble and is one of the main antagonists in the first book Shift. After being caught by Scott, he makes a deal with him and helps him find Frankie Anderson. Frankie Anderson and her kids are placed in juxtaposition. She is older and has evil plans while the children are younger and innocent. The placement of these two figures sided by side in the novel makes them seem even more contrasting and makes Frankie seem even more dark and evil. Another two characters that are placed in juxtaposition are Scott and Aubrey. Aubrey is definitely the tougher and more outgoing character while Scott is just super nice and follows the
