Summer Hi Apron: A Short Story
When Summer woke up on that sunny day she had a sparkle in her eye and that’s when she knew it was time to escape. Summer Hingleton had a tough upbringing, when she was just 7 her parents went through a nasty divorce and she hasn’t seen her dad since. Her mother married another man which her and her twin brother Romeo called the X. Summer and Romeos mother dyed her hair black when their father left and wears dark clothes and has evil brown eyes. Their step father also had dark brown hair with brown eyes and dressed in dark clothing. This is when her life changed forever. Her mother blocked her and her brother off from the rest of the world and they have been her slaves ever since.

You may be wondering at this point in time how they where going to do this, as the first place their parents would look would be the tree house, but the thing was, was that the mother never knew about the treehouse. As they lived on the edge of a forest their dad decided to build the treehouse deep in the forest so they could go there to escape from the real world when life got too hard and act as if life was their own and pretend for a while that everything was …show more content…

Within a few minutes of their arrival they started to see shadows in the distance of weird creatures. They both got scared from the shadows and the dark as they could not have any light around. Summer and Romeo soon got used to living in the forest whilst running away and covering up their scent from the police guard dogs that were looking for them. They survived on these ruby red berries that they found about a kilometer from their treehouse near this massive bright blue waterfall and lake where they swam and washed themselves. Everything was fine until the day the storm came. Bushes were destroyed along with their berry bush and their treehouse was damaged but was easily fixed. Summer and Romeo survived without food for a few days but needed to find another berry bush. On this sunny Tuesday morning they set off to find more food. They eventually found a bush and didn’t even care if the berries were poisonous because they were so hungry. Romeo had doubts but didn’t say anything because he was so desperate for food. They ate them but regretted it about half an hour later when they were in pain and started having hallucinations. In these hallucinations their beautiful lake became even more wonderful with pixies running around everywhere and everything was so bright and colourful. A rainbow surrounded them and so did these pixies, one in particular called Daisy. Daisy assured them
