the brain caused by an external physical force or by an internal incident resulting in full or partial functional disability and/or psychosocial impairment that negatively affects a child 's educational performance.

Assistive technology includes any item or device that can be used by special-needs children to improve their ability to function in the school classroom.

limited strength, vitality or alertness, including a heightened alertness to environmental stimuli, that results in limited alertness with respect to the educational environment that is due to chronic or acute health problems such as asthma, attention deficit disorder or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, diabetes, epilepsy, a heart condition, which may affects a child 's educational performance. Instructor flexibility supports the success of
