Neo is seen as having a boring office job, working for a software company. In the scene where they show his house, he’s completely absorbed in the world of technology. Neo is surrounded by monitors, computers, discs, and was shown sleeping with headphones on.
Call to Adventure:
Trinity contacts Neo through his computer and is told to follow the white rabbit. The white rabbit is shown on a female’s arm as a tattoo, and was given the chance to follow it when he gets invited to a party. There, he meets Trinity who tells him about the Matrix and the Agents who are after him.
Refusal of the Call:
Morpheus contacts Neo, guiding him to his safety, away from the Agents who are after him. He is brought to the ledge of a building, where he refuses to proceed and let’s himself get caught by the Agents rather than risk his life. …show more content…
He teaches Neo how the real world and the Matrix works. He also helps Neo unlock his true abilities by helping him learn new fighting techniques. As with all mentor-student relationships, Morpheus, the mentor, is stronger and better at fighting than Neo is but this changes as the storyline
