T-Mobile Censorship
In a showing off impressive equal rights, T-Mobile has stated they want any and every capable video proves to join their Binge On program. When CEO John Legere said any video provider, he truly meant every video provider. Yes, that even means porn. The popular service MiKandi has quietly been added to Binge On. Is this the beginning of x-rated streaming services? Will Pornhub compete?

BINGE ON PORN WITH T-MOBILE

With Bing One, people can get videos from certain streaming services and it does not count against your data cap. So now, porn enthusiasts can binge on their fetishes with the help of T-Mobile. At the moment, Pornhub is not available on the service but customers can subscribe to MiKandi. MiKandi provides DVD quality porn streamed

To them, this marks a major victory in the ever going battle of free speech. Usually, when mainstream tech companies announce new platforms, free speech is hardly the forefront. In a world where censorship seems to be taking over the internet, it's nice to see some freedom for a change. Despite what thoughts some people may have regarding porn, it will never go away. Adults will and should have the choice the pursue whatever entertainment they so, please. T-Mobile is supporting this choice and hopefully other tech companies will follow in their footsteps.

PORNHUB PREMIUM TO COMPETE

T-Mobile's new relationship with Mikandi is certainly groundbreaking, but can it compete with Pornhub's streaming service? Released in August, Pornhub Premium offers users unlimited porn streaming for just $9.99 a month. That's $10 less than Mikandi. That being said, Pornhub is missing out on the mobile market. Since it's not a part of Binge On, users will be rapidly eating away at their mobile data caps. The company is confident in the success of Premium, but in an increasingly mobile world, a Binge On partnership wouldn't be a bad idea. While we wait for that partnership to unfold, another one is blossoming.

While we wait for that partnership to unfold, another one is blossoming.Porn and Oculus Right. That's right, pornography will be coming to virtual reality. Enough

Comcast would add nearly 30 million subscribers and achieve a much higher penetration rate in the market, which also gives them the opportunity to increase price, and thus profitability. Nonetheless, Pay TV is declining and the rate of penetration decline is accelerating as viewing television content online become increasingly popular. Powerful competitive forces such as Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu, and now CBS’s standalone product “CBS All-Access” and HBO’s partnership with Apple has formed strong threats to Comcast. With the changing consumer demands and the distinctive needs recognized regarding different customer segments, the question of whether its current business model will still be viable in the marketplace has…

The most popular technology that Comcast has created is Xfinity. This product allows for on-demand television and internet access. The combination of cable, internet, and telephone services has allowed them to surpass fifty million customers (O’Shea, 2012).With millions of users, this is where they make the majority of their money. One of the negative aspects of Comcast within the past year is that they have been losing thousands of customers through other products like Netflix. Because of this, they have recently exposed a new product that should gain back all of the customers they lost. “Comcast has launched a new store that enables US Xfinity TV customers to buy movies and TV shows. Titles purchased through the new Xfinity On Demand store belong to a user, and can be streamed as many times as they wish on their TV, computer, or mobile device” (McCormick, 2013). This new advancement in their services will keep them on top of other competitors such as DirecTV and Netflix.…

Roughly a decade ago, the dawn of the “On Demand” feature in television broadcasting brought about a change to the broadcasting industry. For the first time ever, audiences were no longer forced to make their schedules around their favorite programs. Companies such as Comcast and one of its primary competitors, Verizon Communications, found success in the early days of the “On Demand” feature primarily due to its convenience. As time progressed however, alternative products entered the marketplace that challenged the success in which the television service providers were experiencing. Netflix Inc., a web-based service provider, directly challenged the “On Demand” feature by rolling out a product in which consumers had the option to watch a variety of shows or movies online by subscribing to their network. As the popularity of products released by Netflix and other competitors increased, mass media organizations such as Comcast and Verizon realized that they could no longer rest on the laurels of the “On Demand” feature, and had to look for ways to add value to their respective products.…

Popcorn time is one of the most popular websites on the internet, but under legal terms, its poplar for all the wrong reasons. Originating out of a college dorm room in Texas, the creators of popcorn time built the website in an effort to help watch movies for free; this includes all the latest movies and later expanded to viewing popular sitcoms as well. However when mentioned free, the website utilizes a direct linking of individual torrents to help stream the content from the torrent as it downloads the movie in the background as you view it, now as we know it, torrents are illegal in most countries worldwide which can sometimes lead to issues when detected.…

It is easy to see that internet streaming is the wave of the future. With more and more people getting online with broadband connections to homes and mobile devices, there is an increasing realization that many are paying too much for cable and dish services when the same programming can be accessed for free or more inexpensively. (Snider, 2011) They are also realizing that with video streaming there is no restriction on the time and place they can view the desired programming as long as it is after the original broadcast or in the case of cinematic films, after they are released from theatrical venues; in other words, video on demand. The convenience of “on demand” programming will allow a busy population to be more productive in other areas of their life when they do not have to schedule a time to watch their favorite shows. Although many shows, particularly live sports are currently being offered free to internet viewers in real time (e.g., ESPN3, NBC Sports, and CBS March Madness on Demand), this just adds to the attraction of video streaming.…
