Over many thousands of years people have used glue. Some glue made from animals, plants, and insects. It has been used for buildings, art, and furniture.
There are many glues available today. There are glues that can be eaten, glue that can be easily peeled off and reused, and glue that can be made without harming animals.
Two uncommon glues found in stores, homes, and schools, are school glue and tacky glue. Both school glue and tacky glue are non-toxic and made of different man made materials. School glue is chemical based, tacky glue is water based. Both dry clear on your projects.
Many people think school glue is better because it is meant for school projects. I think that tacky glue is the better choice for
crafts and other glue needs. The following reasons are why I think tacky glue is a better choice. Tacky glue is thicker than school glue. Thicker glue makes projects stick together better. It doesn't drip easily off of stuff. Because of this it makes it easier to take your time putting your project together so it will be the done correctly.
Since tacky glue is thicker, it will hold better. When using it to glue popsicle sticks together, the popsicle sticks stay stuck. This allows your project to stay together longer. I had a project that used popsicle sticks and paper that is still together after a lot of use.
Overall tacky glue is a better choice for your projects. I have chosen to use only tacky glue for my projects. I hope you will use tacky glue too!
