Executive Summary
Within this section you should clearly identify the major findings from your report.
For example,
Identify the broad industry which is the focus of the report.
Identify industry trends, i.e. the size of the industry, the growth or decline of the industry, future projections and the major players within the industry.
Identify the organisation which will be the focus of the report.
Identify any relevant organisational information, i.e. the growth or decline and the products offered by the firm.
List the major competitors of your organisation.
List the relevant macro forces impacting on your organisation/industry.
Identify the possible market segments for your offer; identify the target segment and their key needs.
For a 1000 word report, the executive summary should be between 80- 120 words; these words are not counted as part of your word total.
