Dismissal - this is when an employee is no longer needed for whatever reason by a business, this could be down to failure to meet deadlines, not being punctual, committing a crime etc.
Promotion- a promotion is advancement in an employee’s rank in an organization, when this occurs they will leave their old job behind and be given a new one. This means the job that is left behind will need filling. This is a very common reason for recruiting.

Maternity leave - is an employee benefit when they are given paid or unpaid time off work to care for a child or make arrangements for the child's welfare. This means an employee won’t be in work for a certain about of time so the business will have to recruit for temporary work.
Retirement - this is when an employee stops work completely. They have reached an age or saved enough money up to last the rest of their lifetime. When this happens in a business the worker must notify their employee and the business must advertise for a new job.
