Tcom102 Week 2 Assignment Analysis
Generally, I had a writing issue for instance, was unable to write concise and precise. After many attempts, I could not fix this problem. But in TCOM102, I found it helpful in minimizing the same problem. For example, I am here giving some examples with my previous sentences and the improved one’s:
First example:
A. Old sentence -
My father and mother says that it is better to avoid meat, fish, pork or anything which is not a vegetarian food.
B. New sentence -
My parents say it is better to prefer vegetarian food over non vegetarian.
Explanation:
Non vegetarian is a single word and includes meat, fish, pork or anything word. It is unnecessary to include all of them.
Father and mother collectively termed as parents.
Avoid is a negative word in comparison with prefer.
Second example:
A. Old sentence –
Priest says that

Third example:
A. Old sentence –
The rise in CO (carbon monoxide) levels are increasing at an exceptionally terrifying rate.
B. New sentence –
CO (carbon monoxide) levels are increasing at a terrifying rate.

Explanation:
Exceptionally and terrifying are similar words and us in co-operation can confuse the reader. Similarly, when giving self-view, use of ‘In my view, I think’ or ‘Basic essential’ is not correct. As writing same thing twice is not looks good.
Forth example:
A. Old sentence –
By shifting the cross-sectional area of the sections and then smearing a uniaxial load on each one, the values of displacement at maximum tensile strength were observed.
B. New Sentence –
By shifting the cross-sectional area of the sections and then smearing a uniaxial load on each one, we can find the values of displacement at maximum tensile strength.
Explanation:
Misuse of the passive combines with other features of poor writing to make this a fragile sentence. Statement of the word (“we”) can add clarity to the

The mild steel specimen had the second greatest modulus of elasticity, and the aluminium specimen had the lowest modulus of…

Vegan-vegetarian diets shun all animal products: no meat, no cheese, no eggs, no honey, and no mayonnaise, nothing that has any trace of animal cruelty. A vegan diet is strictly plant based because of a moral aversion to harming animals for human consumption. Vegan dieters object to unnecessary ‘use’ and killing of animals – unnecessary, as we do not need animal products in order to feed or clothe ourselves.…

Vegetarianism has been around since the beginning of mankind, however as society has progressed so have plant based diets. Today the term plant based diet can be confusing because of the varying levels of animal consumption in an individual’s diet. The first definitions that will be examined are plant based foods and an omnivorous diet. Plant based foods are those foods which consist of “…fruit[s] and vegetables, nuts, natural vegetable oils, and whole grains…” (“sharecare”) An omnivorous diet is one which is based on the consumption of both animal products (red meat, poultry, fish, etc.) and plant foods. Due to the fact that plant based diets have changed and now incorporate varying levels of animal consumption there is a need to define the levels so that confusion can be avoided. The four categories of plant based diets are ovo-lacto vegetarianism,…

Fig. 4 shows that specimens subjected to minor axis bending failed at considerably lower load than those subjected to major axis bending. Rate of reduction of ultimate load is more pronounced in the case of minor axis bending. For example, the rate of reduction of ultimate load for S500 specimen, when e/xo increases from 0 to 2.8, is 5.7% and 56% for the specimen subjected to major axis bending and minor axis bending respectively. The corresponding rate of reduction of strength for S1100 specimens are 6.15% and 23.8% respectively. At larger eccentricity ratios (from 1.4 to 2.1), the curves become flatter…
