Introduction
Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) is an IT services, business solutions and outsourcing organization that delivers real and high quality results to global businesses, with a high level of certainty. In 2005 they came up with a new tagline for TCS – “Experience Certainty’’. This tagline was introduced after it was validated and supported by the vast customer base that TCS has.
TCS offers a consulting-led, complete and integrated portfolio of IT and IT-enabled services delivered through its unique Global Network Delivery Model (GNDM), recognized as an industry benchmark of excellence in distributed software development.
Founded in 1968 as part of the Tata group, TCS is headquartered in Mumbai, India. It is a public limited company, listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in India. In FY 2013, TCS reported consolidated revenues of USD 11.57 billion.
N Chandrasekharan is the current CEO and Managing Director of TCS. The employee head count of TCS is over 276,000. It has offices in 44 countries.

These values, known as LIREL in TCS parlance, are the core values which resonate through the organisation. The employees are expected to imbibe these values. In fact, during the ILP conducted for new joinees, TCS recognises one trainee from each learning group with a LIREL award. This effort and impetus ensures that any new joinee of TCS is sensitized towards its core values before he becomes a formal part of the
