1) Describe how you might contribute to a lesson given to a group of seven year old children learning to play percussion instruments.
I could contribute to the class by joining in and showing them how to play each instrument. I would reinforce what the teacher is teaching the pupils. Helping the pupils learn the names of the instruments and maybe what it’s made up of. We could play some songs together in groups and let each pupil have a go with different instruments so they could get a feel of them and ask them what they think of them. I would stop any children being disruptive and encourage them all to follow instructions.
2) What might your role be in organising, using and maintaining the learning resources, materials and equipment for this percussion lesson?

I would check all the instruments are safe to use and not broken. I would also need to know how they all were to be used and familiarise myself with them all. I would then make sure that the pupils are told how to use them appropriately and make sure they are suitable for their age. I would also make sure there were enough instruments for the pupils to use or at least share and there was enough clear space for the pupils to use them. 3) Describe how you act in class in order to be an effective role model for the standards of behaviour expected?
In order to be an effective role model I would ensure that I promote positive behaviour and adhere to the school rules. By this I would need to display such examples to the pupils in how I behaved such as speaking politely and listening to pupils. Following on from this, I would ensure that I use positive and appropriate language and make use of regular praise and encouragement. The encouragement would then invite the pupils to perform positively. It is
