The Wijsen sisters speech was given with the intention of informing and persuading the individuals within the audiences as they clearly illustrate the way in which future leaders think and act. They do so through the use of ethos and pathos as they established their role as leaders by telling their own personal story of how they were able to impact and change their community. Through the story that they told and the connection that they formed with their audience, they were able to draw on the emotions of the crowd and in turn emit a feeling of urgency to make a change. Listening the speech that the sisters gave, I could not help but think about all the things that kids could do if they were to choose to step up within their communities. When I look at the world around me; I like many others, are to able to note of the problems that need to be fixed. However, because of my fear of rejection and/or failure, I have never been able to make the step that the girls were able to. Towards the speeches conclusion, I found myself drawn in by the idea that kids could be the leaders of today and proposing a change that could be made within my own community and how to do
