1. PROJECT OVERVIEW

1.1. Introduction St. Joseph College, High School department is located at Olongapo City, Zambales established on 1945. They have campuses for Grade School, High School and College. It is a religious school and its religious affiliation are Diocesan and Roman Catholic and their library is open for about 4,000 students estimated and for their faculty members and staffs.
The Library Management System (LMS) is a program developed especially for school libraries that can replace the manual transaction on St. Joseph College library.
In this system the library management becomes more efficient and easier to handle basic operations involving keeping of records regarding to students or barrowers, check the books normally, keep records on lending and returning of books, and generation of reports.
We follow the standard system for cataloging and classifying the books for the database of the library and also the capability of this system that stores some of the basic information of the borrower as the librarian requires.
