The book begins with the reader reframing their role in the work place. When reframing ones role one must look to job crafting, or expanding the description or your job to make a desirable difference. Job crafting makes one think of not only just the "me", but also the "we". It is said in Best Work that often times the best way to see a difference is to see it through the of whom the difference is made.
Asking the right question is the key for successfully creating great work. It is important that one stop and think hard about what the right question is. Often times people are in such a rush they are unable to accomplish great work, and are stuck with good work. You know you are preforming great work when your question ask, are we setting our attention on benefiting others. Never assume that your work is ever good enough, always push for great work.
Seeing processes in your own eyes helps give a better overall prospective of what needs to be done to make great work. Often times if you are to watch someone else do your job you can get an understanding what what they are doing right or wrong, this will allow you to become better at what you do. Sometimes one use explore other possibilities and look into different field to find the right answer. One may even look into the future or past to gain ideas to make their service great.
