But there are two main drawbacks to this approach to sentence instruction: first, it’s very time-intensive for both students and instructor; second, it does not encourage students to understand the principles behind clear and correct sentence structure; these principles are essential to correct errors and create varied, yet clear and correct, sentences. Punctuation checker, which consists of having the player place the proper punctuations in the sentence, useful for avoiding comma splice, and run-on sentences. And definitions where the player was asked to define the given word, mostly from the parts of speech. Students learn the proper way to write a sentence, and become aware of the different errors and how to fix them. to create this game, my partner and I used a white carboard where we placed vertically our index cards containing the number of points in the front, and the question on the back, hidden from the player. This game is played with no more than three people in a group, and only three groups allowed. The group with the most points wins the game.
III. Online Game
An online game that I would adapt, if I had the skill to do so, will be “Bubble Shooter.” This game is originally played by aiming, with the bubble shooter, to the color you have in your bubble shooter. To burst those bubbles, you need to connect at least three bubbles of the same color. I would adapt this game by having letters in each bubble, and requiring for the player to create a word with the letter given and using the same color. this would help the player enhance their vocabulary and the words they know.
