During the lesson plan lecture, I noticed some students who were passing notes to others, tapping their foot on the ground to indicate that they were bored, some who put their head down to influence sleeping etc. Then, there were the students who sat upright and looked interested in the lesson, ones who raised their hands to ask questions indicating that they want to understand the lesson plan. It…

Within seconds of WALL-E , we can clearly see a vivid image on how Earth is polluted and destroyed by mankind. Director, Andrew Stanton, utilizes a song called Put on Your Sunday Clothes, by Jerry Herman from 1965. This opening song was from an earlier film called Hello Dolly! , which helps support ¨ the film's nostalgic, sci-fi tone.4 Set in a stylized 1890, Hello, Dolly! depicts the draw of modernization and urbanization, but an additional correlative emerges through the context of the 1960s, when Hello, Dolly! was released: namely, the space race¨ (Herhuth 54). This song sends out a strong message because it contains a high esauththic voice that the audience listen to in space when we look at different areas of the galaxy.…

Texting in class is a very touchy subject, and can be argued from many different aspects. One of the main things though, is that texting in class would not be disruptive just for the student texting, but also to the students sitting around the student that is doing the texting. In this today’s generation, everywhere around us people of all ages and cultures circle around their cell phones in everything they do. Whether we are walking down the road, in the grocery style, in class, or even much dangerously, in driving, cell phones have grown to be a very vital part of our everyday lives. However, when it comes to cell phones and texting in the classroom, a very controversial answer is given between teachers and students. Students say they don’t see a problem with texting in class, teachers on the other hand, think otherwise. This is where the problem begins; teachers hold a very persuasive argument about why students shouldn’t be allowed to text in class or even use the cell phone at all. Students on the other hand, can also put up a somewhat reasonable argument as well.…

Phones should be aloud to be used in free time during class time. When a student is done with an assignment, they should be allowed to have their phone out because it is a silent way for the students to entertain themselves. The cell phone can also be a good and smart way to interact with the teacher. This means instead of wasting paper for our warm-ups, essays, or any other class work that would be needed to turn in, we can simply send them to the teacher and can be a…

The use of cell phones has caused tons of accidents, yet so many continue to do it every day. If people could just be honest with themselves, it is not that they don’t have time to talk later; they just don’t have any patience to wait till they get out the car to talk. Teenagers text each other during class, and fill their heads with popular music in the hallways as school, which teachers don’t even know about.
