Thanksgiving Day Book Report

Picture this. It’s Thanksgiving day and you whole house is filled with the aroma of a cooking turkey. It’s been in the oven since you got up to at seven o'clock and your whole family is patiently waiting at the dinner table for it to be done. Stomachs are growling and everybody is excited to dig in. You go to open up the oven, and huge waft of grey smoke comes out. You reach inside to grab the tukey and pull it out. But, it’s completely black and burned to a crisp. Everyone sees the turkey and groans. They are so hungry and all they want to do is eat. You volunteer to run to the store and get another one. However, you get to the store and there are no turkeys. They have all been sold out. You start to panic because you have a house full of hungry, angry people sitting at home. So, you drive all around town to many different stores in search for a turkey. Finally, at the very last store, you find one.
Luke helps the Rebel Force defeat the Death Star, which is a big deal. The Death Star is capable of destroying entire nations, and it was taking the Rebel Force a long time to defeat it. But, with Luke’s help, they were able to destroy the Death Star, which helped save many nations in the future. This was a big deal, so Luke got a reward for it. A ceremony was held, and Luke received a medal and money. He also received honor and pride that would be able to help in the future. Gilgamesh also received a reward, though very different from Luke. Gilgamesh’s quest was for eternal life. He didn’t receive this, but he received something much greater. Before leaving on his quest, Gilgamesh was a very arrogant god/human who only cared about being known. However, at the end of his journey, he changes within and gains humbleness. While he didn’t receive any physical award like Luke, he did receive an award that will make him a better person. This reward will help him in later life just like Luke’s
