They had allied to fight against the Nazi German in World war II because they need to stay allied until the end of the war and overlook their differences in ideologies as they wanted to defeat Nazi Germany. Naturally, as soon as the war about to end, either of them shown the bitterness between each other which lead to the increasing of disagreement that appeared on the alliances.
