The American Revolution (1775-83) is also known as the American Revolutionary War and the U.S. War of Independence. This was a political battle. This was between thirteen colonies. It also lasted eight years.
I know you’re wondering what led to the Revolutionary War. In 1754 the French and Indian War, in 1763 the Proclamation of 1763, in 1765 the Stamp act, and it goes on and on until 1780. In 1775 some British soldiers called lobster backs started the Revolutionary War. The main turning point in the Revolutionary War was Battle of Saratoga. There were several people that had the most significant role in the Revolutionary War.
There were battles that went on at this time and many people that got hurt. The American
Revolutionary War was between Great Britain and the original 13 British colonies in North America. The war took place from 1775 to 1783. The Continental Army, by George Washington, they went against British armies and won.
The Revolutionary War is now apart of great history. I bet people back then would have never thought that the events they were apart of would be talked about now. Teachers are allowed to teach children these things and many children love listening and learning about it. The things that happened back then actually has affected our lives now, that’s why we can do some of the things we do now and have so much freedom.
There were a whole lot of people involved in this war and I just want to take the time and thank them for what they have done. Some people that are living now have family members that was alive at that time and some that was maybe even in the war or associated with it.
