The Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan is another sequel to the Percy Jackson series that involves Greek Mythology. The purpose is to explain my three favorite scenes and why I enjoyed it. The story begins when Percy, the protagonist, that has to go on another adventure with the help of his friends through the treacherous Labyrinth, and find the maker, Daelalus, to not assist Luke, the antagonist of this book. This novel is part of the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan. The genre of this book is fiction but also a fantastic book to read. First, my favorite scene from the beginning part of the story is when Percy and Annabeth discover the Labyrinth for the first time. On Chapter 3, the scene introduces Percy and Annabeth attacked by giant scorpions which led them to hide under Zeus’s rock, but their luck started to change when they discovered a giant wall like maze. This scene is very suspenseful and mysterious, and it seems to make the reader share the character's feelings. Later, Percy dreams of Luke plotting to use the maze as an underground invasion to the camp. Why I like this scene is because the suspenseful and mysterious background of the character entering the maze which leaves the reader with questions. Next, my second favorite scene is when Percy has to battle his godly brother, Antaeus, another child of Poseidon, in a coliseum. This scene is also an example of man versus man, a literally term that matches this part. On Chapter 14, Percy gets sent to a coliseum and battles Antaeus in order to get further into the labyrinth. This scene shows two children born from the same deity fighting to the death. As the conflict continues, Percy finds a way to get through Antaeus's sand defenses, and finishes him off with a stab to the heart. The background of this part is very exciting since a large portion of actions is included. This scene is the main part of action in this novel which makes readers enjoy reading. The
