The Chaser Creative Writing
Puddles rippled as the rain dropped down. Lights were flickering on and off and traffic was slower than it was supposed to be. Cars were honking and people yelling. Boom! A lightning bolt went, scattering the birds sitting on top of the power line. They flew around in circles, but they didn’t just fly in circles anywhere they flew right on top of a wide long alleyway. The alleyway was lit up by the uncovered moon, drip drop, was all you could hear as it hits the ground, but if someone were to listen carefully you could hear the little feet of rats skimpering and scampering around. Anyone in their right mind would avoid walking down an alleyway at night, but not me. I had received a gold invitation earlier in the day specifying to meet at this alleyway. Standing in front of the alleyway, I was wearing a navy blue hooded cape, but I was dressed like Katniss from the Hunger Games. I had narrowed it down to who had sent me the invitation, but there was only one person who I know that would send this. His name is Jonas, or known as the Lancer. Jonas seems like a sane person, but deep down he’s really a psychopath.
