Starting off, I would like to go into detail about the definition of resilience. Resilience is the ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape, or the capacity to recoup from difficulties. The aspect of resilience goes beyond the core structures of writing and especially in my own writing on a daily basis. This quote in the article “recognizing what makes you the real writer you are means recognizing your purposes and reasons for writing” by Glenn Lester exemplifies the journey of learning yourself and how you can implement your writing skills to create and explore new ideas to recognize the true writer you are is very important in today’s world.

“Runners have to build stamina slowly to multiply their miles while minimizing their minutes -writing, and learning to write, in-volves the same kind of stamina” (Doyle, “Resilience” 6). Learning to slowly develop your skills over time, requiring patience and willingness to push through any hard circumstances requires a lot of resilience. Self-discovery as a writer doesn't come at an easy cost either.
Writing is not an easy thing to do at all. It requires a lot of patience and critical thinking that brings out the good and bad emotions for any person who just wants to get over it. Keeping the momentum in writing is all about motivating yourself and having a positive attitude when it comes to this kind of stuff. “To look at yourself through the eyes of others fundamentally alters who you are as you are always second guessing yourself.” (“My Relationship with Writing’’, Papatsos 4). This sentence exemplifies that you can’t always trust what anyone has to say about your own writing, but making sure that your own opinion matters the most. It is very important to not second guess yourself in these types of situations because you, yourself, know best at
