The Digital Invasion Chapter Summary
Introduction
In the book, The Digital Invasion, the author Dr. Hart discusses the issue of digital technology. He presents the story in the form of a guide in which he shares his analysis as a psychologist as well as a former veteran author who is steeped in a lot of research about digital technology. Furthermore, this paper will review Hart’s story as well as his main arguments, and I will identify my personal response on this book.
Summary
To begin with, he brings up our modern dilemma which is the fact that many people do not know how to deal with a myriad of digital technology. Although our modern world has been impacted by modern technologies such as smartphone and social networking, there are digital challenges that people must know in order to confront themselves. …show more content…
When it comes to the spiritual area, it affects people’s lives as well as relationships. Not only this, it is not surprising that lots of adults are now wasting their time in the digital world as much as their children. In other words, it is not confined as a teenager’s problem anymore. Due to this issue, he insists that people should have a healthy view of the challenges that people face in the digital world. The author also points out several suggestions. He looks at the problems surrounding one’s use of digital technology with the understanding of relationships with her/his family. Thus, a balanced view of the author helps to establish proper digital boundaries within the family. In addition, since the impact of the digital technology is huge, people should be aware of the appropriate way in managing the digital invasion in their

    The digital world is everywhere we look. The world revolves around technology, in particular phones, televisions, computers, and radios, that we rely heavily on for instantaneous communication and immediate access to media. Essentially, this makes the Internet indestructible and undefeatable, as there is not physical item to destroy. Nearly every teenager of adult owns a smart phone and never fails to travel or do anything without it, allowing people constant access to the Internet and communication with others using a simple Wi-Fi connection. The digital world’s mobility, in combination with our feeding dependence on it, provide technology with great power. This argument is not solely about the fact that the Internet has power, but the consequences of the Internet’s power.
