If you let 16-year-olds drive, the parents don’t have to worry about bringing them back and forth to work or school. The child does not have to rely on someone else to bring them somewhere. In some cases, 16-year-olds can obtain a job easier if they have their own transportation. If they can get a job, then they can pay for gas themselves without their parents help.
