How/Why has the internet allowed our Generation to be lazier?
Why is this a problem?
How would this affect future generations?
Internet is a great reliable source. The abuse of the internet has caused our generation, also known as the Millennials to be lazier. The quick easy access of the internet causes our generation to spend more time online in our everyday lives. The internet has allowed us to do any type of research online. Spending hours at the library is no longer needed. This is a concern that Millennials have to consider changing before it affects the future generations. Why read a book when you can “Spark note” or “Google” the summary of the book? This is how most Millennials are thinking today. It takes less than a minute to find a summary of a book online but hours even days to finish reading a book. Most Millennials take the easy way out by reading the summary online. What ever happened to pleasure reading? Research papers can be done at your house or anywhere you like as long as you have access to the internet. All of the long hours spending at the library are no longer necessary. The resource of the internet is so fast that spending time at the library would be wasting your time. Is it really wasting your time? This is how most Millennials think. Millennials are getting lazier due to the fact of the internet. Remember when entertainment use to be going to the movie theaters, going to a comedy act, or going to a museum? Now entertainment has changed and expanded through the internet from social networking and being able to watch anything online. This causes people to spend less time away from their computers. Why go out and buy a movie when you can download it off a website online? Long distance communication is no longer a problem.
