The Electronics Technician Association (ETA)
In 1978, the Electronics Technicians Association is a US based not-for-profit represents the electronics industry, and a professional association promoting excellence in technologies through certification. ETA has issued over 150,000 technical certifications covering more than 80 certification programs in a variety of technology industries such as basic electronics, fiber optics, data cabling, renewable energy, information technology, biomedical, avionics, wireless communications, and etc. ETA works with technicians, educators, and military personnel. Also ETA partners with companies such as Motorola, Google, and United States Armed Forces. CETa is a certification of entry-level electronics professional knowledge to include not only electronics but also safety, record keeping, and professionalism. CET requires the candidate to pass the CETa exam and Journeyman Certification Option. CETsr is an upgrade to the Journeyman CET, it requires six years work experience and 85% passing score on the CET exam. CETma requires mastery of the Associate CET exam and pass rate of 75% in at least six of the Journeyman specialty exams, it’s a lifetime …show more content…
ETA International offers six types of memebership: individual, student, institutional, master, retiree, and lifetime. All memberships are good for one year with the exception of the lifetime and two year individual options. ETA certification helps professionals excel in the electronics related industries. ETA can assist educators help students, military professionals to civilian life and career advancement. Certification shows the world that you have gained the knowledge and skills to perform better on the job. ETA certified professionals should proudly display their certificates, wallet cards, lapel pins and use their earned credentials on business
