On November 12, 1995, an American Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-83 type passenger aircraft, which was operating as Flight 1572, departed from Chicago O’Hare International (ORD); however, the aircraft got substantially damaged due to impact to the top of oak trees on Peak Mountain Ridge in East Granby, Connecticut. The aircraft also hit the Instrument Landing System (ILS) localizer antenna, which was on its way to Runway 15 of Bradley International Airport (BDL). The aircraft, lastly, crashed while on approach to Runway 15 of BDL at 00:55 Eastern Time. Fortunately, there were no fatalities and all 73 passengers and crew of 5 survived the impact.…
1. The strong point of the movie is that it shows the parallel worlds of Lana and her uncle Paul. They both are people who try to help the world be a better place and they both end up in horrible situations in two very important cities in the United States. Lana is in Los Angeles volunteering at a Christian homeless shelter and Paul who is a Vietnam veteran tries to prevent Los Angeles from attacks just like 9/11. He suspects everyone who is of Arabic origin. They meet each other when a Pakistani gets brutally murdered. The best part of the movie is the well-assembled scenes, they are very dynamic, and that makes it that the two storylines come together so nicely. The Paul’s character is very tragic, he has suffered so much trauma in his life,…

On October 14th 2004 Captain Jesse Rhodes and First Officer Peter Cesarz were transferring an empty CRJ 200 from Little Rock to Minneapolis. They ended up crashing 2.5 miles from the runway in Jefferson City, Missouri. Several Human Factors lead to the eventual crash and death of everyone on board.…
Hearing the event from the perspective of a person who wasn’t directly affected or near the crash introduces a whole new type of experience. People, who like my parents, only received notice of the crash because of a family member they had no idea was in any kind of danger. My parents, at the time, weren’t aware of the importance of the Twin Towers or this possibility of a new worry of terrorism. They were able to be reassured simply by the fact that every loved one in the U.S then was okay. This particular perspective added to my knowledge of the personal experiences of the event, how the impact of the event can immediately increase because of a loved one being involved. Another detail from the interview that added to my knowledge was my mom…
September,11,2001 there was a big tragedy that affected the whole United States. A group of 19 militants that are associated with Islamic terrorism from Saudi Arabia hijacked, and took control over four airplanes. Two planes were purposely crashed into the World Trade Center in New York. The hijackers had this all planned out on what they were going to do. After, the two planes headed towards the World Trade Center, the other two planes were headed towards the Pentagon and the White House, but these two planes luckily did not make it to their destinations they crashed in a Western Pennsylvanian field. The terrorists were Islamic ISIS, Saudi Arabia, and was not just these two groups of people the attack included seven more Arab nations. The…
Was 9/11 a big mistake? America still reels from the attack on our sense of security, the devastating event an abrupt betrayal of our trust in social respect. Before the act of terrorism, we trusted that everyone was doing what they could for the good of humankind, if not for the nation. With the fall of the World Trade Center came the mistrust of a religious group that gradually expanded to any random stranger on the street. The general fear the public has of a crime with no aim, an attack on our nerves, has grown exponentially since that first breach of common good, but the real question is, what have we learned from such an event?…
A land within Area 51, known as the Nevada Triangle, is unforgiving and deadly. Steve Fossett was a record breaking aviator that was also a victim of the triangle (Winter 1). The millionaire’s strange and sudden disappearance first seemed to be too good to be true, so astonishing that the public blamed himself, and then later, aliens. Over three hundred and sixty five days had passed before experts were able to find the cause of the pilot's death after finding remnants of the plane crash. The truth was that the geography of the area had beaten the record breaker himself (Winter 1). Geography and climate are the said reasons for the death of the pilot. Combining Pacific winds and vertical mountainsides, a phenomenon known as the Mountain Wave is formed. For this purpose, the winds have the strengths to pull aircrafts out of the sky during mid flight. (Winter 1). If our United States Government gave Steve Fossett the authority to operate a plane on the day of his death in a land that is not even supposed to exist, then they are responsible for his death and…
A peculiar triangular area located off the western part of the United States coast in the Atlantic Ocean, believed to be the playground for mysterious forces, surrounds the many theories known as the Bermuda Triangle. Location is important for any navigation tactics across a large body of water. Within the Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil’s Triangle; it can be difficult as well due to the environment (Bermuda Triangle or Devil’s Triangle). Wild theories have been the source of the Bermuda Triangle’s reality, but they, however, have not And cannot prove it exists (What Is the Bermuda Triangle?). Logical knowledge of why this distinct area has caused so much dismay follows simple reasons such as abrupt storms, environmental factors even…
Being convinced by many different theories about the Bermuda Triangle is very easy to believe because there are many movies, television shows, articles, books, etc. that can persuade the reader/watcher that this type of event can occur. The legend about the Bermuda Triangle will…
Many ships and planes were lost in triangle leaving behind unknown explanation but flight 19 is the most famous incident. It was already 4 month that world war II had over. Still it was the mission for the thirteen men to fly due east which was 56 miles to hens and chicken shoals to conduct practice-bombing runs. After that objective had been completed, the flight plan called for them to fly an additional sixty-seven miles east, and then turn north for seventy-three miles and finally straight back to base. This course would take them on a triangular path over the sea. About an hour and a half Lt. Taylor reported that his compass is broken and its not working. Planes today have a number of ways that they can check their current position, including listening to a set of GPS (Global Positioning Satellites) in orbit around the Earth. He was a good pilot, but he hadn't spent a lot of time flying east toward the Bahamas, which was where he was going on that day. Apparently Taylor had become confused at some point in the flight. For some reason Taylor thought the flight had started out in the wrong direction and had headed south toward the Keys, instead of east. By 4:45 P.M. Inside the control room it was obvious to the people that Taylor was hopelessly lost. He was told to turn control of the flight over to one of his students, but apparently he didn't. After a time, connection was disappeared from the people in the…
Bam! Crash! Boom! I remember hearing those sounds on September 11, 2001 when I was aboard United Flight 93. That day has impacted the rest of my life and the way I live now. I can recall those events like it was yesterday.…
The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle, is an undefined region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean where a number of aircraft and ships are said to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. For decades, the Atlantic Ocean’s famous Bermuda Triangle has captured the human imagination with unexplained disappearances of ships, planes, and people. More than 1000 ships and planes have disappeared in the triangle area over the past five centuries and continue to do so. And all these happen when it appears that there are no human errors, equipment failures or even natural disasters. Strangely, the ships and aircraft just disappear when everything seems to be okay. Many believe that Devil is at…
